Every Vega model shares the same personality and instructions — picking a different one changes capability and speed, not who you're talking to. Under the hood they're different sizes of the same open model family, each given a constellation-themed name:
- Sulafat 1.0 — the smallest model. Free, no account needed, limited to a few messages before you'd need to sign in.
- Zeta 1.0 — a step up, available once you're signed in. Good for everyday writing and quick fixes.
- Vega 1.0 — the flagship default. The best general balance of speed and judgment for most questions.
- Sheliak 1.0 — a larger, more capable model with steadier tool use and longer reasoning.
- Lyra 1.0 — the largest and most capable model available, for the harder asks.
Currently: the higher "pro" tiers (Sheliak, Lyra) are free for any signed-in account while the service is finding its footing — that may change later, but nothing about your account or usage changes without it being reflected here first.
Bigger models also get a larger context budget scaled to what they can actually make use of, rather than everyone sharing one fixed number.
